The successfully operating international technology group Giesecke n Devrient (GnD) has joined forces with a number of other Munich-based companies to launch the “850 talents for Munich” initiative that marks the year in which the Bavarian capital celebrates its 850th anniversary. By creating posts for 850 talents, the participating companies aim to blaze a trail for the city’s future prosperity. GnD’s contribution to this initiative is to create approximately 200 new posts at its headquarters in Munich. More than 100 of these vacancies are to be filled by the end of this year.
GnD is looking for candidates with qualifications in the natural sciences or engineering disciplines, primarily in the fields of mechanical engineering or electrical/electronic engineering. An important selection criterion is that the postulates should demonstrate a pragmatic, enthusiastic and flexible approach to dealing with new challenges, as befits an innovation-oriented company like Giesecke & Devrient. In keeping with the international scope of its business activities, G&D expects candidates for the majority of these posts to possess adequate English-language skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have already gathered a certain amount of professional experience, ideally working on international projects.
Giesecke n Devrient implements a holistic human resources policy that enables its employees to pursue their professional career without neglecting their family responsibilities. This work-life balance is achieved by offering employees a choice of part-time working options and teleworking arrangements, providing flexibility in terms of working hours and allowing staff to work from home when necessary. GnD’s commitment to reconciling the demands of professional and personal life was rewarded with the berufundfamilie® audit certificate in 2007.
